The third-largest city in Hungary by area, Nyíregyháza has a population of approximately 120,000.

The city is known for its numerous tourist attractions, such as a thermal bath complex and aquapark, a zoo with a safari park, as well as a theater and several museums. Nyíregyháza is also home to one of the largest cathedrals in Hungary – the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas.
